Northwestern alumni and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin was in town this weekend to accept the Hall of Achievement alumni award from, my alma mater, the Medill School of Journalism. To read more about his visit to NU click here! While in town, the author also went to an NU football game where he took a photo with Julia Louis Dreyfus (aka Elaine from Seinfeld) who is also a Northwestern alumni! See her tweet below:

Here are some more sightings from this week:
Janet Jackson, who’s in Chicago all week for her UNBREAKABLE world tour, had the night off and took her crew, band and dancers to FOR THE WIN, an arcade bar and restaurant in downtown Chicago.
The singer was one of the first guests to arrive with her husband Wissam Al Mana – at the arcade they chatted with friends and Ms. Jackson herself event played a race car game and a few rounds of pinball.
Later in the evening, Janet and her hubby were spied playing some miniature golf, which has a Chicago theme. She was pretty low key during the evening, but started dancing a little (very little) bit when Macklemore’s Downtown came on.
Her guests especially loved when the Deejay played Nay Nay. She at the arcade for about 3 hours before taking off. Thursday night was her one night off and she has her final show tomorrow night at Chicago Theatre.
Thursday, November 5th, 12-time NBA All-Star, Isiah Thomas, held a family reunion at STK Chicago. After dining on grilled octopus, brussel sprout salad and market fish, Thomas’ son Zeke guest DJ’d for a couple of hours! Not to mention, former NBC player Antoine Walker dined nearby.
Chicago’s athletes are continuing to flock to the newly opened STK Chciago. On November 4th, retired NHL player and sports analyst Jeremy Roenick dined with a friend and enjoyed a 32oz cowboy steak with mac and cheese, creamy potatoes and a churro milkshake for dessert. He was overheard discussing his old team the Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls.
