Miley Cyrus was in town at the Allstate Arena last night for her Bangerz concert tour. I attended with my sister and at the end we both agreed, it wasn’t great. The show started with Miley’s big face on the screen. Her mouth opened and a giant tongue emerged which Miley slid down. The open had so many elements going on as she sang her song “SMS (Bangerz).” There were people dressed as stuffed animals running around and trippy graphics on the screen. Midgets and a very tall woman were all dancing alongside Miley. Throughout the rest of the show Miley touched her crotch quite a bit which made me uncomfortable. She overused the F-word in between songs and even rode an airborne hotdog throughout the arena. I felt like all these elements took away from how great her songs are and how well she can sing. I enjoyed the part where she did some acoustic covers of “Hey Ya” and “Summertime.” But, she kept taking Instagram videos of herself during these songs which I found annoying. After her show, Miley partied at the Underground nightclub downtown with Lebron James. The Miami Heat play the Bulls tomorrow. See some of my pics from the show below.
