And it was crazy! It was SO cold outside, but talk show host Jimmy Fallon still followed through with his promise and did the Polar Plunge at North Ave. Beach with Mayor Rahm Emanuel. They had to push aside ice chunks in the water before the plunge so people had room to jump in. Other stars from the show “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD” joined the plunge too as well as Bears player Israel Idonije. It was all for a great cause, though, benefiting Special Olympics.
