In honor of hometown hero Virgil Abloh and the launch of his “Figures of Speech” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Ace Hotel Chicago (311 N. Morgan St.) helped to commemorate the occasion with a surprise set from Virgil at its rooftop bar Waydown on Sunday night (June 9). In partnership with Notre (a local boutique) and Mild Bunch (an ongoing party series organized by Kunichi Nomura), Waydown celebrated the surprise appearance and set from Virgil with VIP guests and additional DJs from Mild Bunch’s Tokyo crew, including: Kunichi Nomura, Shuhei Nomura, Max McKee, Masaaki Iiyima and Naotake Magaza.
