On Tuesday, 10/18, Tony Mantuano on behalf of [http://www.spiaggiarestaurant.com’] Spiaggia was invited to Washington, D.C. to cook at the final State Department luncheon of the Obama administration. Tony and Spiaggia Chef de Cuisine Joe Flamm prepared the State Department luncheon for Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry and the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

Highlights from the event include Secretary Kerry’s introduction of Tony as the official chef for the luncheon and Prime Minister Renzi’s glowing recommendations from his recent visit to Chicago and Tony’s restaurant Terzo Piano, as well as speeches from all major dignitaries in attendance.
