Of course, hundreds went to his compound outside Minneapolis yesterday to pay their respects. Thanks so much to my friend Alyssa Samson who took these pictures and gave me this account of what happened…
“So many people! By the fence, people where signing their goodbyes and hanging flowers and balloons. Other people stood behind a barrier and took pictures, videos and blasted his songs. Little kids had on purple shirts and people were bringing their entire families, including dogs, to pay tribute. When I was there, there were probably 200 people lined up and down the block. They shut down part of the highway and people parked down the road in a park and walked blocks to see his house. It was cheerful and sad at the same time. There was media everywhere and helicopters. Cops were there, and someone was making sure people were still being respectful by not getting to close to take pictures.”
