The Chicago Humanities Festival and the Poetry Foundation present James Franco tonight at my alma mater, Northwestern University downtown (Thorne Auditorium, 375 E. Chicago Ave). James will read his latest poetry collection right here in Chicago! Unfortunately tickets are sold out, but if you’re going here’s what you need to know…
-this program will include a screening of Mr. Franco’s film “Herbert White” and a reading of Frank Bidart’s poem “Herbert White.” Both contain material that is explicit and graphic.
-The program will be about 75 minutes long, and will focus primarily on Mr. Franco’s and Mr. Bidart’s poetry, and a film inspired by Mr. Bidart’s poem Herbert White.
