On Monday, October 30, Jose Ramos and his fellow Hamilton Chicago cast members and other special guests including Miranda Rae Mayo (Chicago Fire) and the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra will come together to help raise funds for United for Puerto Rico in an evening of unforgettable music, song and dance at the Greenhouse Theater in Lincoln Park.

Jose, who is a graduate of the Chicago Academy for the Arts, was devastated when he was not able to communicate with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins that live in Puerto Rico for nearly two weeks after Hurricane Maria hit. Determined to help, Jose was inspired by Jennifer Lopez and her plea for help, and the tireless relief work Lin Manuel Miranda has done. Jose contacted United for Puerto Rico, and has received the organization’s support for bringing Chicago together to rally around the people of Puerto Rico.

There will be a spectacular Silent Auction at the concert, with tickets to Hamilton Chicago and one-of-a-kind signed memorabilia from some of today’s top recording artists.

For those that cannot attend the concert and would like to donate to our cause, there’s a Go Fund Me page at GoFundMe.com/riseupchi2017 with lots of exciting reward packages, more Hamilton tickets, signed Hamilton posters and programs, Rise Up for Puerto Rico concert T-Shirts and special Chicago outings like dinner at Portillo’s with Jose!

100% of the donations raised will benefit United for Puerto Rico. Tickets for general admission seats to the concert are $65 per person. Doors open at 7pm; the concert begins at 7:30pm. To purchase tickets to the concert, visit bit.ly/RiseUpChi2017 or the Greenhouse Theater Center box office at greenhousetheater.org or call 773-404-7336.
