Calling all ping-pong enthusiasts, veterans and soon-to-be-discovered pros! Ping-pong lounge, SPiN (founded by Academy-Award winning actress, Susan Sarandon), is opening its doors to Chicago this winter, and leading up to its debut, hosting a “Search for a Pro” competition. On Wednesday, October 28, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, any and all self-proclaimed ping-pong players are invited to join SPiN at Daley Plaza (50 W. Washington St.) to compete to be one of their four official Brand Ambassadors.
During the competition at Daley Plaza, ambitious participants will go head-to-head, showcasing not only their mad skills, but personalities too, and will be evaluated by the SPiN team. Later this winter, four Brand Ambassadors will be selected by SPiN and introduced at the venue’s grand opening party. Guests who can’t make the tryout in-person, are welcome to submit an application online at chicago.wearespin.com/pro.
Also on-site at the competition will be representatives and artists from SPiN’s local charity partner, The Remix Project. Artists and musicians will be performing as part of a live art project/installation and showcasing former works of art made through the program.
