The World Cup kicked off yesterday and with Chicago being the home base to the World Soccer Federation, there are several places to watch these international games right here. Today kicks off Chicago Bike Week! This annual week-long event celebrates the city’s commitment to biking and includes a variety of free events including a bike-to-work rally Friday at the Daley Center. More Info HERE.

The Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival is this weekend where you can catch Latin entertainers, carnival rides and even try some traditional food like tamales. The parade kicks off at 2 o’clock tomorrow down Division Street in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. More Info HERE.

And this is a unique event – the US Air Guitar Midwest Semifinals are taking place tonight at 9 o’clock at the Metro on Clark Street. This competition is dedicated to taking the nation’s unofficial pastime of playing an imaginary guitar out of the basement and putting it on the world stage. More Info HERE.
