In the mood to celebrate the best cocktails—and the people who make them—in Chicago? (Stupid question: of course you are!)
Time Out is inviting industry heavyweights and drink-lovers alike to celebrate the inaugural Time Out Chicago Bar Awards on Monday, June 6 at 7PM. There they can rub elbows with the best and brightest bar talent in the city—and find out who our esteemed panel crowned as this year’s award winners.
The Chicago Bar Awards will be held at Artifact Events, where guests will sip on Peroni, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and custom cocktails and enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, all while dancing to tunes provided by DJ Timothy from Toast and Jam.
The shortlist in the seven awards categories, nominated by some of Chicago’s most influential bar experts, are: > · Best New Cocktail Bar: GreenRiver, The Sixth, The Broken Shaker, Lost Lake, Best Intentions > · Bar of the Year: Weegee’s Lounge, Sportsman’s Club, The Whistler, Billy Sunday, The Aviary > · Best Restaurant Bar: Nico Osteria, Longman & Eagle, GreenRiver, Presidio, Analogue > · Best Bartender/Team: Christian Hetter – Berkshire Room, Sable, The Drifter, Graham Heubach – Sportsman’s Club > · Best Single Focus Bar: Delilah’s, Scofflaw, Masa Azul, Billy Sunday, Mezcaleria Las Flores > · Best Design: The Sixth, The Heavy Feather, Three Dots and a Dash, Queen Mary Tavern, Milk Room > · Best Beer Bar: Map Room, Clark Street Ale House, Hopleaf, Bangers and Lace (Chicago), Small Bar
Tickets are priced at $37.92, which includes access to a premium open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres, live DJ, entertainment, a swag bag filled with bar essentials and more.
